Overview

Cantina 443 is a late-night bar and kitchen on Conover Terrace, Orange NJ. The site is unashamedly loud — midnight maroon-black surfaces with electric magenta + marigold + papaya neon glows. The signature is the hero text itself: 'CANTINA' in Bebas Neue glowing magenta, '443' beneath it flickering marigold like a sputtering neon sign. Magenta-bordered menu marquee scrolls dish names horizontally below the headline. A rotating citrus + cocktail glass SVG floats on the right with a stir animation. Tonight's schedule is a six-night card grid where every card has a different neon color. The Visit CTA is a giant 'COME HUNGRY.' in neon magenta. Designed to feel like the bar is already half full.

Challenges & Solutions

Challenges

  • Going maximalist neon without losing the menu's legibility
  • Differentiating from every other site in the batch by being the only one that's loud

Solutions

  • Neon glows isolated to display text only; body copy stays clean and bone-cream
  • Magenta + marigold restricted to one accent each per section so they feel like signs lighting up, not chaos
